Support Sonoma Sister Cities Association as a member
Member dues are critical to our organization’s work to promote peace through mutual respect, understanding and cooperation.
Some of our activities include:
Organizing delegation visits to our sister cities to enhance our cultural knowledge and extend friendship
Welcoming delegations from our sister cities
Hosting student, adult, and intern exchanges with our sister cities
Offering scholarships to high school students who are studying foreign languages
Offering scholarships for students to travel abroad
Hosting lectures and cultural events
Attending various cultural culinary experiences or dinners
Honoring local history through our Chinese Legacy Project
Honoring Italian culture through sponsorship of Bocce Sonoma
Pop up celebrations for partnership anniversaries and holidays
Benefits of membership:
Eligibility to receive invitations for special travel opportunities to visit our sister cities.
Develop friendships around the world based on multi-cultural understanding and mutual cooperation at the community level
Open doors to new partnerships and leadership opportunities
Have a larger impact than you would acting alone
Be an agent for peace and prosperity and the change you want in the world
Attend special “pop-up” events with wine and hors d’oeuvres
Receive free admission or discounts on sister city events, including our annual SSCA holiday party.
Membership in Sonoma Sister Cities Association is open to Students ($10) and Individuals ($25). Members may participate on one or all our 7 sister city committees. Committee members work together to plan activities, develop leadership skills and some even practice foreign language skills. Members receive discounts to SSCA events.
Businesses ($100) will receive discounts to SSCA events and recognition on our website with a hyperlink to your business.
Patrons ($500) will receive discounts to SSCA events as well as early-bird registration. In addition, patrons will be offered a lifetime family membership. If Patron is a business, the business will receive recognition on our website with a hyperlink to your business.
Benefactors ($1000) are community minded individuals or businesses who wish to make an impact in supporting our mission to promote peace through mutual respect, understanding and cooperation. Benefactors will receive discounts, priority seating at selected SSCA special events, and early bird registration and 2 free tickets to SSCA event. In addition, Benefactors will be offered a lifetime family membership. If Benefactor is a business, the business will receive recognition on our website with a hyperlink to your business as well as in brochures and promotional literature.
Membership dues are renewed annually, one year from when you last paid your dues. To join, visit www.sonomasistercitiesassociation.org. Click on the “Get Involved” tab and follow the directions to set up an account and pay membership. If you prefer, you can mail a check to SSCA, PO Box 1975, Sonoma, CA 95476.
